    This was a return visit to follow up the observations and recommendations made during the visits of 6th May and 24th June 2015. Both the General Manager and Care Manager in post at that time had
    moved on.

  2. Enter and View: Disability Access Project

    This was an announced enter and view visit to the emergency department of the Royal Free Hospital on Monday 14th March 2016 10am- 12:00pm. The visits were planned to evaluate access for those with communication impairments to Emergency Departments across North, Central and East London. This involved asking staff members questions about accessibility, observing the working practice, touring the department and if possible, engaging with service users.

This was a return visit to Roseacres to follow up the observations and recommendations made during the visits of 6th May and 24th June 2015.

    This announced E&V was part of a planned strategy to look at a range of care and nursing homes within Barnet to obtain a better idea of the quality of care provided. Lady Sarah Cohen House is a purpose built Jewish residential care home managed by Jewish Care

  5. Enter and View: Clovelly House Residential Home

    This announced E&V was part of a planned strategy to look at a range of care and nursing homes within Barnet to obtain a better idea of the quality of care provided. The Home mostly has residents with quite advanced dementia or brain injuries. It offers care, but not nursing care.

    This was an un-announced E&V visit as part of a planned strategy to look at a range of care and nursing homes within Barnet to obtain a better idea of the quality of care provided. This visit was undertaken to
    review the recommendations the Team made at the previous visit.

  7. Enter and View: Clore Manor

    This announced E&V was part of a planned strategy to look at a range of care and nursing homes within Barnet to obtain a better idea of the quality of care provided. Clore Manor is run by Jewish Care and is strictly Kosher.

  8. Enter and View: Re-visit report, Suffolk Ward, Chase Farm Hospital

    After the original Enter and View visit to Suffolk Ward at Chase Farm Hospital in March 2015, Healthwatch Enfield and Healthwatch Barnet, returned to Suffolk Ward, in June 2016, to follow up the observations and recommendations made after their first visit.

  10. Healthwatch Barnet Public Meeting

    Healthwatch Barnet held our Annual Meeting at the Subud Centre in East Barnet on 13 October 2016, where we presented the Healthwatch Annual Report and summarised some of the work that the Healthwatch team of staff and volunteers have been undertaking in the last year.

    This was an announced E&V visit as part of a planned strategy to look at a range of care and nursing homes within Barnet to obtain a better idea of the quality of care provided. Nazareth House is a residential run by a charitable trust connected to the Catholic Church.

    Healthwatch Barnet has commissioned Home Start Barnet to capture the views of young parents and families with young children, on their experience of how they access dental services. The parents of 96 young children completed 56 questionnaires, representing 56 families.

    Read about the experience of one of our volunteers who was invited to participate in a "15 Steps" visit to the Children's Orthoptics Clinic at Vale Drive Primary Care Centre, Barnet. This paediatric eye service includes screening, diagnosis and treatment for children within the Borough.
