This was an announced E&V visit as part of a planned strategy to look at a range of Sheltered Housing Units within Barnet to observe the services provided. Goodwin Court is a Sheltered Housing Extra Care unit opened in 2008 near to East Barnet.

Healthwatch talked to cancer patients to learn about their experience of travelling to their appointments in and from Barnet. The report sheds light on the patient experience of cancer transport services, which is not captured elsewhere.

This was an announced E&V visit to Jewish Blind and Disabled Charity, Frances & Dick James Court Sheltered Housing, as part of a planned strategy to look at a range of care and nursing homes within Barnet to obtain a better idea of the quality of care provided.

In February/April 2017 Enter and View volunteers visited 7 wards at the Hampstead site of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust to investigate the food and mealtime support that was offered to patients.

In aiming to address increasing concerns about the quality of care, service users in Barnet are experiencing; through this project, Healthwatch Barnet revealed a number of areas, which could reasonably be improved.

Healthwatch Barnet asked patients a small number of direct questions and encouraged general comments and feedback about their experiences at Barnet Hospital.

On Wednesday 14th June 2017 we celebrated volunteer's week with a celebratory lunch to thank all the hard work our volunteers have contributed throughout the year. We also had a guest speaker from Argenti Telecare Service who provide healthcare technology.
