About this event

Held on the first Sunday in June, this year National Cancer Survivors Day will take place on Sunday 7 June. It is a celebration for all those who have been diagnosed with cancer and, following treatment, have been given the all clear.

Cancer affects everyone. More than 53.5 million people worldwide have survived cancer in the last five years. National Cancer Survivors Day  is a day to reflect on what cancer patients endure and the effect on their families. It’s also an opportunity to thank the doctors, researchers, fundraisers, and donors who make survival possible.

MacMillan Cancer Support has information on their website to help with the physical and emotional after-effects of treatment.
